Bug Off

Don't "Bug" the Planet with Toxic Chemicals
No one wants pests like ants, fruit flies and roaches, crawling on kitchen countertops.  It's also hard to enjoy your yard when there are flies, gnats, mosquitoes, aphids and other annoying yard pest. Don't settle on letting bugs take over. If you want a chemical free yard and home look at going "green".

What Makes It Green?
Nasty chemical pesticides can pose an immediate treat to more than just the bugs in our homes and yards.  Our family and pets also come into contact with these chemicals.  Exposure to pesticides has been linked to a long list of diseases and health problems: Parkinson's, infertility, cancer, birth defects, encephalitis, and lymphoma, just to name a few.  Why expose your loved ones to toxic chemicals when the same job can be done all naturally?

Another reason to consider an organic pest control solution is for the planet's sake.  Fish and wildlife are poisoned by the chemicals when they run off into streams, creeks, lakes and rivers.

What You Can Do
  • If you need help identifying what the bug is that you just saw crawling across your floor, check out the National Pest Management Association's Pest Guide (http://www.pestworld.org/For-Consumers/Pest-Guide).
  • Try fighting "bad" bugs with "good" bugs in your yard. www.GreenMethods.com is a great website which explains biological pest control and sells the "good" guys.
  • Make your own organic pesticide. Check out the following website for instructions for creating organic products to repel everything from insects to rabbits, kill mold, fungus or mildew, and exterminate pests: http://vegetablegardens.suite101.com/article.cfm/organic_pest_control_and_pesticide.
  • Buy naturally organic pesticides like Orange Guard (www.orangeguard.com ), Bug Shooter products (www.biconet.com/botanicals/sharpShooter.html) or Yard Net Insect Repellent (www.liquidfence.com).
