Summary
Greenhaven Daily started life as a simple blog that I was calling "what's green with Wendy today?". It evolved into its own website in 2008. Greenhaven Daily became a way for me to put green living ideas within reach of the average person.
Green in the Suburbs
We have a lot of cities and suburbs across America. I don't see enough advocacy for green living made easy. I see a lot of green events and promotions as a part of the new urbanism movement which I love. But that doesn't touch enough people's lives in my opinion. I want to show that green living can be for everyone whether you live in-town or in the suburbs. I don't care if you live in a new or old home, a LEED certified apartment, or a century old town home. There are green living tips for everyone. I'm here to help you find green ideas that fit into your lifestyle.
Being Green is Easy
Being green is not all about earthen homes, wind turbines, and solar panels. Although those things are pretty cool, we know that most people are not living that way. Greenhaven Daily's objective is to show the average consumer how easy it is to be green.
Something Green for Everyone
Our tips and product reviews cover a wide variety of categories. We believe that green living is not one-size-fits-all. Our website is dedicated to finding something green for everyone. And together we can make a real difference doing little things.
What makes it green?
I think there is a lot of confusion about Green products and services. I heard from someone where I used to work that vendors submitted over 40,000 green product skus for the retailer to consider carrying in the company's stores. After careful scrutiny, the retailer discovered that only 2000 of those products skus submitted were actually green. So what makes it green? Well, we've learned that there are lots of different ways to be green. We have done the research and we have the details to share with you. Join us as we share with you what makes things Green.
